Rollo was made in my undergraduate days, when I was working with the NUS Games Development Group. I was the game designer and producer of the project. It was made by a team of 7 students (4 core) working on Saturday afternoons for about a month. The game has a total of 20 levels. At that time, I was experimenting with procedural creation of challenges / obstacles, so I tried to implement that in the design of the obstacles that came up in the levels of this game. Every level is randomised to some extent, with more difficult challenges having a higher probability of occurence as the player passes levels. Of course, this didn’t turn out too well, and so this project was the one that really turned me away from procedural content creation and into designer-driven levels.
