Wedding Vows is an anthology of 14 short vignettes portraying the love story of Lawrence and Rebecca, two childhood sweethearts who grew up together and got married. It shows their evolving relationship from childhood until old age, and the special moments that bind them together. A tribute to marriage and idealised love with a vintage Americana feel.

Author’s statement: I wanted to speak out against the rising divorce and cohabitation rates in our society, and reinforce marriage as an ideal that we, as humans, should strive for. I believe that the love between an man and a woman who have chosen to become life partners together can only find full expression through the sacrament of marriage, and is a commitment that should not be broken lightly or easily, or for the sake of convenience. That’s why I initially wrote this project – as a tribute to marriage, and an expression of my romantic ideals. Even though it’s a portrayal of ideal love, I’ve tried to make it realistic. And I think it’s important to keep this dream alive.
